If you are interested in opening a UK account prior to your departure, HSBC Australia offers a service for its customers. Thomas Cook and Travelex can also facilitate this service in conjunction with HSBC. Minimum deposits and charges apply.

Credit Cards
Any credit card that bears the Visa, MasterCard or American Express 'badge' will be widely accepted in Britain. We recommend contacting your Australian bank, prior to departure, in order to establish the services they provide whilst you are overseas.
